Elk Mountain Hop Farm — [video]

This past week, GBH founder, Michael Kiser traveled to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, a mere 10 miles from the Canadian border to visit the largest contiguous hop farm in the US at only 1,700 acres. Elk Mountain Hop Farm is part of Anheuser-Busch's agricultural resource system, and is now being brought back from the brink of dormancy in order to supply the expanding and specialized needs of brewers like Goose Island and Blue Point, as well as feed back into the increasingly shorted craft market that's starving for access to domestically grown hops. Stay tuned for a full story from GBH. But for now, bask in the greenery that is Elk Mountain.

With some stories you only get once chance to do it right. So we don't worry about keeping it short or "going viral," because capturing the in-depth stories of breweries past and present requires a narrative approach. And the only limit on the attention of today's online audinces is the value of the story being told.
